For the most recent project we have been doing at college called "Site" I wanted to create a narrative based around an inanimate object which was found during the "Interior Spaces" project. I chose to create a story about a coat and so took images to go alongside this short narrative. These images here have been edited and have had the brightness and contrast changed. More of the images I took are continued on. . . .
The main effect I am trying to create with these photos is a sense of bewilderment, loneliness, abandonment and the feeling of insignificance. I wanted to do this because the object that is being worn (the coat) has experienced all of these by being left in a cold dark cupboard for so long. And it seems as if these feelings are mimicked by whoever is wearing the coat. I think these are shown well through the large expanse surrounding the person.
